Jog-A-Thon promotes health and exercise wellness for our students while building school spirit.  The “Running on Faith” event on April 22 will support our Sustainability and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Initiative in 2021.  Our goal this year is to raise $20,000.00 (just $50/student).  For many of you who do not know, we contribute to environmental sustainability though our iPad program. Every 3 years, we purchase replacement iPads for middle schoolers.  Older iPads are handed down so no waste occurs and all ACS students have access to the technology.  The funds raised will go toward the $100,000.00 expense.

Every student will participate in this great school spirit event, regardless of the amount raised.  Prizes will be given for student who raise the most money per grade, run the most laps per grade, and the class that raises the most money!

In 2021, we will be upgrading our iPads and we will also upcycle outdated iPads to communities in need. Through our Environmental Sustainability program, we have discovered many gaps in technology throughout our community, and we are proud to be a part of the stewardship in technology and keeping this tech useful and out of landfills. 

The partnership of Jog-A-Thon and Earth Day has become a tradition at our school. We will use this platform to promote sustainability and stewardship by raising money and we will also be collecting old tech from our community. If you have unused cell phones, tablets, computers, game consoles or computers, we will be collecting them outside the front office door any time from now until April 25.
