ACS Celebrates SOAR Week

October 2, 2020The mission of ACS HOUSE is to create an inclusive, engaging and friendly atmosphere while promoting positive behavior, school spirit, leadership and service. The motto is Service, Inclusion, and Teamwork. This mission will be met by creating middle school teams who work together in competition (fun and behavioral) and service while learning leadership skills. This month, ACS Houses planned fun activities for the entire student body to participate in the first week that we have all students on campus.
They used SOAR as an acronym for the daily fun, to honor our ACS them for this year, “Soar with the Spirit.” Monday was “S is for Sports Day!” Students wore their favorite sports team T-shirt or jerseys to school. Tuesday was “O- is for ONE color day.” Students and staff had fun dressing up in one color from head to toe!
Wednesday was “A is for ANIMALS!” Students enjoyed the animal theme with their stuffed animals, animal prints, or animal shirts.
Thursday was “R is for RETRO!” Students and staff had a blast from the past dressing in their favorite past decade’s garb! Friday was Spirit wear day and classes went to the church for first Friday Adoration. We give thanks to God for this wonderful school and the ability to open safely for our students. We pray in communion with our students at home who choose to work remotely, but are still an important and vital part of our school.
