Last week was filled with joy, laughter and a few tears. Our 6th grade boys won their APIAL championship basketball game. Our 8th grade boys won their championship basketball game in double over-time! They beat undefeated Legacy Academy! What a way to end your basketball career at ACS. Our 7th grade girls (A division) won their volleyball championship game also. They were all short seasons, but so happy the kids got a chance to play.
Our 8th grade class of 2021 finished their academic days at ACS on Friday. They did a final walk around campus to the cheers of the their parents and the younger students. They graduate Thursday night during the 5:30 Mass. Keep them in your prayers as they start their journey into high school. We are proud of you and will miss you.
CDC came out with recommendations on mask wearing and social distancing for those who are fully vaccinated. As our students are not vaccinated and we have nine days left of school we will keep the same policies in place for the remainder of the year. Students and teachers will continue to wear masks. Archbishop Wester has not changed the policies for Mass attendance as of today, so we will continue to follow the guidelines he has in place.
The last days of a school year are filled with much excitement, growth and good byes! Let us end with a prayer of Thanksgiving for God is Good!
