Preliminary WCEA Results

The WCEA visitation team spent 3 days at ACS. They spent 3 days observing classrooms, interviewing teachers, students and parents. They looked over documents, lesson plans, student work and student data.

They wrote a preliminary report and shared it with the staff on Thursday afternoon. The official report will be sent to us in June but here are a few excerpts from the preliminary report.

Rating system: Highly Effective, Effective, Somewhat Effective and Ineffective

We received no ratings lower than Effective.

Areas we were rated Highly Effective:
Modeling Catholic Values
Spiritual formation of students
implementing standards -based religion curriculum that provides authentic Catholic teaching
Integrating our mission statement
Implementing research based instructional methodology to enhance student learning
Integrating technology into the teaching/learning process
Compiling and using data
Strategic planning
Using educationally sound assessments
Analyzing data to drive instruction
Developing, implementing and monitoring a financial management system with checks and balances
Analyzing financial position to ensure financial viability of the school

Effective in providing spiritual formation for faculty
Effective in providing spiritual formation for parents
Effective Consultative Council
