Miss Carla Villareal (Vee-uh-ree-el) was born and raised in Albuquerque. She is an alumna of Annunciation, Saint Pius and New Mexico State (Go Aggies!). She majored in Elementary Education and Special Education. After undergrad, she was accepted into the Magis Catholic Teacher Corps through Creighton University which is a part of the University Consortium of Catholic Education. She was placed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she taught 2nd grade for two years in an inner-city Catholic School. She has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
She is very passionate about teaching the whole child, modeling servant leadership, always encouraging her students to put their faith in action, and pondering the question of “What more can we be doing for God?”
When not teaching, you can find her outside enjoying NM’s four seasons, running, playing basketball or swimming. She is a lover of all desserts and dogs. She loves reading, podcasts, and crafting. She loves visiting churches and reading about the Saints.
