Mrs. Gonzalez was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from the University of New Mexico and received her BA in History. After an internship, she returned to school to earn her license in education. She holds a NM Level II K-8 Elementary License and secondary education endorsements for science and social studies.
Mrs. Gonzalez started her career working with children in 2005. She taught and developed curriculum for a preschool program and coordinated a summer and after care program for elementary students. Once she earned her degree, she completed her student teaching at Queen of Heaven School, where she continued to work for three more years teaching third grade. Mrs. Gonzalez also taught seventh grade at Madison Middle School for three years to expand her teaching experience and knowledge. Mrs. Gonzalez joined the ACS community in 2015. Annunciation holds a special place in her heart because that is where she was Confirmed.
Mrs. Gonzalez enjoys spending time with her husband Martin and her four children. Her greatest joy is sharing her Faith. She explains, “One of my favorite teaching memories is of my students receiving Christ for the first time. It is in those moments that I realize just how important our job is as Catholic school teachers.”
