Mr. Castillo is entering his 8th year at Annunciation Catholic School and his 11th year with the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Catholic Schools. He is elated to begin a spiritual journey towards the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist with his students. He looks forward to teaching his students and hoping to foster a passion for math, English/Language Arts, social studies, science, religion, and writing.
Who is Mr. Castillo? Mr. C. was born and raised in sunny California where he spent his time at amusement parks and the beaches in sunny California. He misses the breeze of palm trees along with his impromptu trips to Palm Springs, San Diego, San Francisco, and México with his friends. Mr. C. received his Associate of Arts Degree in LA&S with a focus in Multi-Cultural Education from Antelope Valley College; his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from California State University, Northridge and his Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with his Credential Work from Loyola Marymount University. His educational preparation focused on educating the whole child in Elementary and Multicultural Education. In May, 2013, he received a Certificate of Recognition from California State Senate, Senator Padilla. In 2021, he was blessed with the Catholic Awards for Teachers from The Catholic Foundation.
His hobbies are versatile because he definitely enjoys retail therapy, going to the gym, eating out at different restaurants, and hanging out with friends. There are many places in New Mexico that he has not seen. One day, he would like to travel around and see the Land of Enchantment.
