Danny Shields

Director of ITdshieldsacsabq.orgMr. Shields (Mr. Danny as the students know him) is the IT Director at ACS.
He studied Physics at the University of New Mexico and Computer Programming at Central New Mexico Community College. This will be his fourteenth year working at ACS. He started off his career here as an Elementary Educational Assistant and three years as Elementary Science Lab/ Middle School STEM Instructor. He still teaches the 5th and 6th grade STEM classes and enjoys his position in IT, but has happily been a guest teacher in different classes for fun science experiments and STEM activities.
His hobbies and interests include billiards, video games, and playing sports. He finds great pleasure and fulfillment in getting the younger students excited by science and being a teacher that will always listen to the problems of being a middle school aged student.
