Elise Moser graduated from New Mexico Highlands University. This is her sixth year teaching the 2 nd Grade. She did her student teaching with Mrs. Rose Haley in 3rd Grade, and worked as a substitute teacher until getting the 2 nd Grade position. She loves to see her students every day and believes strongly in working with parents to help their children grow. She believes that relationships come first with her students. It makes her teacher heart happy that her old students continue to come into her room every morning to give her a hug before they start their day.
Her teaching philosophy is that learning should be an adventure. She believes in cultivating a desire to know more by creating fun and engaging lessons. She will often have her students up and out of their seats playing a game of multiplication knock-out, doing a science scavenger hunt, making dinosaur measurements on the black top. Her classroom has been transformed into a jungle for an animal research unit, a castle for fairy tale writing, and campground for an end of the year review. Her goal is for school to be a fun and exciting place to come to everyday.
Outside of work, she loves to take every opportunity to travel. One day she hopes is to visit Scotland. She loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her three dogs. She enjoys doing anything crafty and taking every opportunity to visit her family in St. Louis.
