Hilary Grossetete is entering her second year at Annunciation Catholic School. Thrilled to continue sharing her love of history, literature, and her Catholic faith with the students of ACS, she believes that teachers can open the hearts, minds, and souls of all children. Her own childhood was spent at St. Therese and Holy Ghost Catholic schools. After graduating from the College of Santa Fe, with a B.A. in Theatre, Hilary moved to New York to pursue a career in acting and later Marketing and Special Events. Upon her return home, she spent the next several years as the Director of Special Events for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. It was exciting work that demanded attention to detail and organization; skills that someday she would marry with her love of academics and children.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she comes from a family of readers, teachers, bankers, entrepreneurs, and curious investigators. Some of her fondest memories center on the historical discussions that were an every-day part of life and the hours she spent in her mother’s U.S. History classroom. She fell in love with this country and its ideals; knowing that she wanted to share her passion for history and inspire students to do the same.
After marrying Grant Grossetete, in 2011, she entered the UNM Master of Education Licensure program where she focused on integrating curriculum across the content areas and working toward her licensure as well as completing additional courses in History. Following her studies, she worked as a Jazzercise instructor where she combined teaching with being the mother of two small children. The Grossetete family Hilary, Grant, daughter Paige and son Riley (now in 3rd and Kindergarten at ACS) attend Annunciation Church.
In her spare time, she loves to go out to eat with her foodie husband, read, sing, Jazzercize, work on jigsaw puzzles, and laugh at feel-good sitcoms.
