Mrs. Sparks was born and raised in Germany. In 1982, she studied for three years at the University of Trier, Germany to pursue a BA in Pedagogy (Science of Teaching), but met her husband a U.S. service member, and followed him to America. She continued her studies in California, and then earned her degree in Early Childhood at West Hills College in California.
She has taught Junior High School students at a Language School in Sasebo, Japan, worked for the Department of Defense as a pre-school teacher in Keflavik, Iceland, and Kings County Headstart Program, Hanford, California. She has assisted in the primary grades at ACS since 2005.
She has two sons, who are both alumni of ACS and are her great loves and treasure. Teaching little ones about Jesus and the Gospel of Salvation continues to be her reason for working with ACS students.
