5th Grade Teacher (5A)mhatchacsabq.orgMaria Hatch was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After graduating high school she attended New Mexico State University were she graduated with a BS in Elementary Education and attended the University of Phoenix working on a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
Maria and her husband owned an operated a Dairy Queen in Las Cruces for 30-years; where Maria also began her teaching career with the Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS). After selling their business and retiring from LCPS were she worked for 23 years, they moved to Albuquerque in the summer of 2018 to be closer to their daughter and her family.
Maria started her new teaching position at Our Lady of the Assumption in 2018. When a position was available at Annunciation, Maria took the opportunity to teach at the very school her grandaughter is attending. Maria went to Catholic School as a child, and is extremely happy to be teaching in a Catholic School environment.
