Maria Prokesch

Mrs. Prokesch attended school at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey for 3 years while working in New York as a comptroller at Citibank. She eventually moved to Albuquerque in 1978. Maria started at ACS in 1998.

Mrs. Prokesch has a 13 year old grandson that she loves to be with and while enjoying his company is reliving her youth! They love to play baseball, soccer and lots of games. Maria volunteers at Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), walking and assisting at other functions. Her son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 20 years ago. She started with JDRF because she wanted to help raise funds and know about the research that was being done for a cure.

Thinking about her time here at ACS she states “Now that I work here, I know that this school builds character, teaches respect for life and love for the God that made us. I am so proud to tell people I work here because Annunciation has a reputation for being the best Catholic school in the city.”
