Nancy Lowell graduated from UCLA in 2002 and 2004 with an undergraduate degree in Women's Studies, and a graduate degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in South Central, Los Angeles before moving to Denver in 2006. She spent 12 years working at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Denver first as a PreK teacher, and then as a 1st grade teacher. She has completed the Orton Gillingham (OG) elementary training twice, as well as the advanced OG training, and the OG multisensory math approach.
She moved to Albuquerque in 2021 and started at ACS right away. Ms. Lowell loves the families and community of ACS. She believes in a rigorous, academic education tempered with appreciation for each child's gifts and talents. In her spare time, you can find Nancy creating fabric wall hangings, swimming, walking her dog, or playing with her two cats.
