The Catholic school is an expression of the educational mission of the Church. The principal/pastor functions as the chief administrator of the school. Today's principal/pastor of a Catholic school, with the many demands which are made, needs assistance from a group of people who are committed to the Catholic school and are willing to work for the good of their school.
The purpose of this group is to consult with the principals and pastor to provide a quality Catholic education for the children at Annunciation Catholic School. It assists in the development and promotion of the policies, which govern the operation of our school. Its purpose is to foster an understanding of the school among parents, area parishioners, and the civic community in order to create a better support for Catholic education. It has responsibility and will be consulted for the following:
Operational Vitality / MarketingGoal: To generate funds not dependent on Parish or tuition.
Spirituality and Community Development Goal: Provide opportunities for families to reflect on and share their life experiences.
TechnologyGoal: Seamlessly integrate technology to enhance student learning to be on the cutting edge of science and technology to provide hands-on students learning experiences in all aspects of science, technology, engineering and math.
Safety Goal: Organize and provide an annual self-evaluation process to engage in ongoing improvement and ensure the faithful execution of responsibilities.
The Consultative Council will consist of 7-9 members, including the principal, vice principal and the pastor. All parents/guardians/parishioners are eligible to serve on this committee. Council commitments are a three year term and reviewed at the beginning of each school year.
